This is the commission piece written for the Phoenix Singers - the Cumbrian Ladies Choir who won our 2025 Choral Music Commissioning Competition: we ask choirs to tell us why their choir deserves to receive a free commission by Tim and Phoenix won because of their determination and camaraderie to support each other and overcome the ups and downs of life in their small Cumbrian town, giving joy through music for themselves and to their Community.
Pippa, their MD, gave Tim a good brief and, lo, this Gloria was born!
