The Accessible Choral Library - even more Accessible, affordable and Appealing for 2026!

As far back as 2012 we realised that there was a need for music written for choirs of limited vocal resources, music that had to be in the range of the average singer and with accompaniment parts suitable for the pianist turned organist or players who were maybe just of a medium level in their playing ability and so the Accessible choral library was born!

In the beginning, the brief given to our composers was for Unison, 2 part and SAMen pieces that would fulfil this criteria, we looked for Sacred, Secular and any other material that would be useful to the smaller church choir, or secular choirs with a limited range of voices.

Almost immediately, we received pieces from David Barton and Peter Thompson, which proved extremely popular and as time went by more composers were added and the series grew to about 60 titles covering Sacred, Secular, Shanties and folk based material.

Have your own singing day - or come to one of ours

This year we are completely relaunching the series and will be adding new titles and also holding a series of events around the country, introducing these pieces to even more singers and choirs, the aim is for churches maybe to get together to organise a sing day with the pieces, we will come and provide the copies and Tim will hold the workshop, simply email us and we will help you get such a day off the ground - in addition we will be holding our own events to promote the series.

Very special buy one get one free offer

Also this year, because we realise that buying new music can be expensive, we are offering a buy one get one free offer on Printed sets of ACL series pieces, whatever amount of copies you buy of one piece, we will send the same amount of copies free of another piece with the same voicing, an ideal way to extend your choir library at little cost.

Some pieces are available as PDF Downloads for our overseas customers and buying a PDF will also attract a second Free PDF.

(note this offer ends 30th January for non-mail list subscribers but runs all year for subscribers)

The whole series has a dedicated page on our website and includes music for Christmas, Lent, Ascensiontide, Remembrance and a whole host of Folk and Traditional material and also Rosa Conrad's wonderful sea shanties. There are about 20 living composers represented and a couple of names from past times as well.

We really hope to see a more widespread use of this invaluable series of publications and we would also love to hear from composers who might like to add to the series and also customers ideas on what they would like added to the series!

Very best wishes for a fine 2026 of music making

Tim
