Our website has just been given a fresh new look by Anne, our projects coordinator, partly because it needed it and partly to make it easier to navigate for you, making it easier to find pieces you are looking for, and perhaps even more importantly to explain everything we do, as sheet music sales are only a part of our activities
We think these three words capture the spirit of everything we do in this wonderful world of music: Creating – Sharing – Performing
Creating new music, educating and mentoring others in the art of composition and seeking out new talent and works is Tim's main driving force and vocation. With Tim's own compositions and those of the circa 40 composers we now represent from all around the world, we are proud to have over 400 original titles in our Catalogue and Tim will always take a look at any finished titles submitted for publication so just email any works to mail@timknightmusic.com. and of course, you can approach Tim directly about a piece of New music for you!!
Sharing, - once we have a new publication, project or activity to shout about, we want to share it with the world and hope that everyone is as excited as we are to hear about it !

Creating, sharing and performing are all interconnected skills, and conducting or musical direction plays an important part in bringing them together. Over the years, Tim has led numerous courses and mentored musicians at different stages of their development, helping them refine their technique, broaden their skills and grow in confidence.
In the New Year, Tim will be tutoring a group of choir leaders who already run successful community choirs but are keen to develop their conducting technique and extend their musical skills.
Performing - Ultimately, every composer wants to hear their music brought to life through the interpretation of the singers, soloists, musicians, choirs, orchestras or bands for whom it was written.
One of Tim's particular passions is encouraging singers, musicians and conductors to step outside their comfort zone and explore music beyond the familiar. This means taking time to discover lesser-known works, delve into their background, understand the style and period in which they were written, and consider what the composer intended. By looking more closely at the finer details – the dynamics, phrasing, musical structure and interpretation of the words – performers can uncover qualities they might otherwise overlook. Sometimes, a little deeper understanding can transform a piece that initially seems unremarkable into something truly rewarding and beautiful, our singdays and singing weekends are designed to do just this.
