Read on, a completely FREE new piece of music could be yours!

Every year, we offer a Free commissioned piece for a choir. This blog details how you could win this prize ( value roughly around £500 and oodles of Free publicity!)

We in the UK are about to enter Proms season, the BBC's annual festival of Classical music, and every year part of the concerts are given over to new commissions. New Music is the lifeblood of the music industry, and it has always been so. Every piece of music ever written was new once!

Choirs often think that commissions cost the earth and that the process is very complicated, well not with us, and certainly not in this annual Free commission offer

We offer a new piece for your choir, it has usually been a Christmas carol, as in last years winners, the Phoenix singers from Millom, but it doesn't have to be. It will be a choral piece of about 3-4 minutes, and it could be set to a text you choose or one we choose. We will check with your MD to see what would be useful to the winning choir.

To take part, all you have to do is

tell us in an email why you think your choir deserves a newly written Free piece, that's it! -

We choose the winner based on the replies, and even if you don't win, you will receive a free download from our existing catalogue, so really, everybody wins!

Last year's winners made a really special event of the handover of the carol. Tim went to a presentation with the Lord Mayor, the choir, and there was a fabulous buffet, all great publicity for the choir.
