Keeping the Melody Men Singing

Tim Knight has been the Musical Director of Leeds Male Voice Choir since 2014 and is proud to have built the choir up into the great success it is today but, obviously like all choirs around the world, concerts and weekly rehearsals have all been kyboshed because of Covid-19.

However, Leeds MVC, like a lot of choirs, are not just a group of people who come together to rehearse once a week... they have built up a mutual bond through singing and support each other through good times and bad and, to some, their fellow singers are as close as family. So, again like many choirs, they have persevered and battled with the technology (not least their self-confessed technophobe MD!) in order to keep in contact and help each other through these troubling times.

Beyond the Sea arrangement for Male Voice Choir by Tim Knight

As we announced at the beginning of this year, Tim is able to make arrangements of popular songs if they are available via SMP (you can read more details via this link) and did exactly that with 'Beyond the Sea' for Leeds MVC for their March concert, which sadly never took place.

This piece is still being rehearsed though via their Zoom rehearsals in readiness for their next concert, which they obviously will be shouting about from the rooftops when the date can be set!

Please just get in touch with Tim via email ( if you would like to find out more about what arrangements he could do for you.

It is well with my soul arrangement for male voice choir by Tim Knight

Tim has dedicated his latest release for MVC to another Yorkshire Male Voice Choir who took on a new MD at the beginning of the year and, sadly, obviously find themselves in exactly the same boat as everyone else.

Tim's arrangement of 'It is well with my Soul' is available only via our website both in printed form and PDF download and is a very approachable and thoughtful piece, originally written by composer Horatio Spafford, who had an unbelievably tragic life (please note there will be no cover page included with either version).

As a SPECIAL OFFER, we will be offering a FREE PDF Download worth £20.00 of Tim's arrangement of 'I saw three ships' with any other purchase of MVC music made (the free download will follow after a purchase is made, either from our website or through sheetmusicplus.

Please just get in touch with us with any queries, and please do share any recordings you may make of our music, digital or otherwise!

Above all, stay safe and well and we will all hopefully soon be back delighting audiences with the incomparable sound of a harmonious Choir of men's voices.
