Singing Weekend at Wydale Hall, Brompton-by-Sawdon, North Yorkshire

Wydale Hall is situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and a few miles away from the Scarborough coastline. It is a beautifully appointed house with a fabulous modern and airy chapel which will be perfect for us to sing in. There really is something to do for everyone here, so if you have a friend or partner who doesn't want to sing but would enjoy exploring the surroundings and the area during our singing sessions, then there is plenty to do! As always, Tim will lead our singers through an eclectic mix of music in his own fun and approachable style which both suits the style and period of the venue. The programme of music will be tailored to suit the participants on the holiday and encompass choral music in all its forms, from rounds and popular songs, through to more serious classical and sacred pieces. We allow time to explore the local area on our holidays and you won't have to go far because the grounds themselves are wonderful and extensive and plenty of hidden corners to discover. We also encourage our guests to entertain each other on 'party piece night' which doesn't have to be singing - it can be playing an instrument or reciting a poem etc and if we can participate in a local Sunday morning service we try to learn some music over the weekend to take along, but both of these activities are optional.

The venue is easily accessible by car or public transport and we could arrange pick ups from Seamer railway station with advance notice.

£249.00 per person for returning guests

£269.00 per person for new guests

Please note: there is no single supplement chargeable and rooms are ensuite, either single or twin. Places are limited so please book early.

Outline of Itinerary:

Friday - 4pm arrival, welcome refreshments, dinner, introductory singing session

Saturday -  Breakfast, singing session, lunch, free time to explore the local area, dinner, singing session

Sunday - Breakfast, morning singing session (either in local church or chapel), lunch, depart after lunch

Cost includes meals stated in the itinerary above (please note timings and sessions are flexible to suit the groups requirements). A non-returnable deposit of £50.00 is required to secure your place on the holiday. We will send an invoice for further payment(s) when they are due. A full itinerary will be sent in advance of the event. No music will be sent in advance as it is not necessary to learn any pieces in advance. TKM reserve the right to replace Tim Knight as the Event Leader if, for any reason, he is unable to run the event. Participants are required to have their own valid travel insurance (please make sure this covers cancellation due to Covid) and attend TKM events at their own risk. Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund due to non-attendance as we are required to pay the venue in advance and will incur cancellation charges.
