Singing Weekend at Launde Abbey, East Norton, Leicestershire

We are delighted to secure dates for another visit to the most impressive Launde Abbey Christian Retreat House and Conference Centre set in beautiful parkland of 450 acres on the borders of Leicestershire and Rutland in the heart of England. Launde Abbey was founded as an Augustinian priory in 1119 by Richard Basset, a royal official of Henry I. During the first century of its life the community buildings, cloister and garth were built, including an imposing church of which one side chapel still survives, now used as the Chapel at the present-day Abbey. This stunning venue is easily accessed from all areas and there will be time to explore the nearby vibrant market towns of Oakham, Stamford or Uppingham. There is also a beautiful Chapel, fantastic grounds to explore (including a kitchen garden and Labyrinth!) and a fantastic huge old tree which we could potentially all sing around which would…
