Leeds Summer Choir 2023

This choir offers singers the opportunity to form a summer choir in Leeds to cater for those weeks when choral societies close for the summer. 

The rehearsal dates are every Wednesday evening from 26th July to 30th August at Music House, St Mark's Avenue, Leeds LS2 9BN (up near the University) culminating in a public concert on 2nd September at 3pm at All Souls Church, Blackman Lane, Leeds (which is just down the road from the rehearsal venue) in aid of Take Heart, the Charity for the Yorkshire Heart Centre. Both venues have free parking and good public transport connections to Leeds City Train Station and Bus Station.

Singers need to be able to attend at least 3 out of the 6 rehearsals and, of course, a rehearsal before the concert and the concert.

The cost of a singer ticket includes music for the season which will be George Dyson - Three songs of Praise, Mendelssohn choruses from Elijah and Hymn of Praise. 

The ability to be able to sight-read or have some experience of choral singing would be an advantage. 

Places are limited. We reserve the right to change the music based on the balance of singers attending.
