Come and Sing Day - Settle Parish Church

Tim Knight will lead you through a full day workshop day exploring music from two masters of melody and choral classic composers, Charles Villiers Stanford and Arthur Sullivan. Music will include Stanford's 'Blue Bird' and some part songs and Sullivan's 'Festival Te Deum'.

The timings for the day are set out below (these aren't set in stone but are usually about right!). The Singer Ticket price includes music hire for the day and refreshments in the breaks. Lunch is at your own expense and can be consumed at the venue or there are plenty of lovely local eateries in the delightful Dales market town of Settle. You can visit the Settle Parish Church's website for more details about the venue, but we will send out full details about the day and a music list with links to recordings closer to the event (we don't send the music out in advance or provide rehearsal tapes as these are not necessary but it is a fast-paced day of learning so some sight-reading capability is a definite advantage). Each singer who attends the event will be given a £5.00 Tim Knight Music Voucher which is redeemable against future Sing Days, Holidays or selected products bought on the day.

Registration and Coffee:    10.00 - 10.30 

Rehearsal session 1:         10.30 - 12.30 (includes a coffee break)

Lunch break:                     12.30 - 14.00 

Rehearsal session 2:         14.00 - 16.00 (includes a coffee break)

'Round up' of the day:       16.00 - 16.30

Please be assured if this event is not able to go ahead due to Covid restrictions, then a full refund or transferral to another event of your singer ticket price will be offered (any other bookings made by a guest are at their own expense and risk, eg travel expenses or hotel accommodation).

Please note: Tim Knight Music reserve the right to replace Tim Knight as the Musical Leader of all our events if he is unable to attend, but this will only be the case in extreme or unforseen circumstances.
